When the first word ends in /s/, /z/, /t/ or /d/ and the next word starts with a /j/ sound, the tongue position changes when saying the second word.

/s/ + /j/ = /sh/
/z/ + /j/ = /zh/
/t/ + /j/ = /ch/
/d/ + /j/ = /ʤ/

(This happens only when the second word is an unstressed word.)
